The facts:
There is a God.
God created the universe. (Genesis 1:1)
God created mankind in His likeness. (Genesis 1:26) (You did not evolve from a monkey or a cesspool.)
The first humans, Adam and Eve, disobeyed and sinned against God. (Genesis 3:17)
Due to Adam’s sin, you live in a fallen world and you have inherited a sinful nature. (Romans 5:12, Psalm 51:5)
Your sin separates you from God (Isaiah 59:2) Nothing you do can please Him or gain His favor. (You are not a good person. Your works, deeds, sacrifices, or anything else can atone for your sins.)
There is only one way you can have a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ!
God loves you and sent his Son to be a sacrifice for you. Jesus (John 3:16), fully man, fully God, lived a perfect and sinless life so that you could be made righteous to God.
Jesus obeyed his Father (Matthew 26:39), he was beaten, tortured, and killed for your sins. God poured his wrath for you on his innocent Son. Jesus took the punishment for your sins. All sin, past, present, and future.
Jesus was taken from the cross, placed in a tomb and rose from the dead three days later. He defeated death and sin, proving that you can have everlasting life.
You cannot be forgiven, made righteous, and have everlasting life by living a moral life, or by simply saying a prayer.
- You must repent. Repent of your sins. Turn from your sins.
- Put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. There is only one way to have forgiveness, righteousness, salvation, and a personal relationship with God, and that is through Jesus Christ. (All other religions are false.)
God will grant you eternal life, never forsake you, and send the Holy Spirit to help you live in a way that is pleasing to God.
